New York University Faculty of Arts and Science College of Arts and Science Graduate School of Arts and Science

Our doctoral program is one of the most exciting programs in economics you'll find anywhere. No less than fourteen of our faculty teach in the first year alone, so that you have maximal exposure to the professors right at the outset. The pace of course-taking slows down in subsequent years, but this is replaced by an increasing emphasis on research, which is, after all, what we're about. Our graduate students encounter research through numerous seminars and conferences at the department, field-related student workshops, a special third-year paper seminar, and last but not least, by working with some of the world's finest researchers in economics.

If you have an inquisitive, intelligent mind, and a real passion for research, this department may be for you. Feel free to browse through the links for various aspects of our program.
