Shuruq Week marks a celebration of diversity and recognition of the Middle East's many manifestations. The week seeks to bring peoples of Middle Eastern and/or Muslim descent together, increase awareness of the Middle East's religions and cultures within the NYU community, and foster an attitude of greater harmony and cooperation - through the week's emphasis in the many traditions, languages, art, music, and literature.
