Here's How The Program Works
   Ö     A child must be between 2-11 years of age and have no cavities.
  Ö   If the child has cavities, NYUCD will fill them at the regular clinic rates and provide preventive guidance necessary for the child to remain cavity free.
  Ö   If the child is cavity free at the time of their recall exam, we will enroll them in the "Ask Your Dentist Program" at a low cost annual fee.

Rules

  Each parent-and-child team must agree to follow all recommendations, including:
   Ö     Brush at least twice a day with an ADA-approved fluoride toothpaste.
  Ö   Modify snacking behaviors as prescribed.
  Ö   Adhere to recommended recall appointments.
  Ö   Membership may be discontinued if the faculty determine that the rules have not been followed.

With dentistry's effective preventive treatments and regular use of flouride toothpaste, it's possible for your kids to be cavity-free for their entire childhood. Want to know more? We're so confident about modern dentistry's ability to prevent tooth decay, that if your children get cavities while participating in the program, we will treat them for free.

$25 Annual Basic Smile Team Fee*

   Ö     Cleaning and fluoride treatment
  Ö   Dental X-Rays
  Ö   Oral Hygiene Instruction/Consultation
  Ö   Assessment of Orthodontic Needs
  Ö   Any Cavities Your Child Develops While A Smile Team Member Will Be Filled Free of Charge.
  Ö   Each Visit Child Receives a Toothbrush, Toothpaste, and Stickers.

$100 Annual Super Smile Team Fee*

  Includes all services of Basic Program PLUS:
   Ö     Any Sealants Your Child Needs
  Ö   Athletic Mouthguards
  Ö   Space Maintainer if Necessary
