Guidelines for Biostatistical Consulting

NYU College of Dentistry Faculty

This is the form NYU College of Dentistry faculty need to complete in order to be awarded funds by the Biostatistical Consulting Review (BCR) Committee. A four-member committee administrates funds allocated by the Office of Research in the NYU College of Dentistry. Three faculty members with research experience appointed by the Associate Dean for Research and the Associate Dean will comprise the committee. A decision to fund a request requires that three of the four members review and approve the request.

The Dean of the College of Dentistry approved the availability of funds for this purpose in the summer of 2000 for a one-year trial, in order to support high quality externally funded research by the faculty. The ad hoc BCR Committee was formed in the fall of 2000 and will serve for a one-year trial period. Funds for this purpose are limited; therefore, priority will be given to faculty members who as part of their duties for the College are required to do research and who offer high promise for obtaining external funding from government, industry or foundations. There is no deadline for this program.
