Stu-Dent Plan For Non-NYU Students

WHY STU-DENT?
College students often overlook their oral health. With so much time devoted to classes, studying, socializing, and employment, there is very little time (or money!) left over to invest in dental checkups. So you brush, occasionally floss, and hope for the best. It's a good start, but usually it's not enough to prevent the harmful, long-term effects of tooth decay and gum disease.
Maintaining your dental health is important to your overall health and your future oral health. That's why there's Stu-Dent.
WHAT IS STU-DENT?
The Stu-Dent Plan offered by New York University College of Dentistry provides quality, hassle-free dental services to restore and maintain your teeth and gums-at a time in your life when it is critical to do so. We provide treatment at convenient times and in a convenient location, making it easy to fit dental care into your busy schedule. And our low enrollment fee is less than it would cost to visit us just once for a checkup, a cleaning, and X-rays.
SERVICES COVERED BY THE STU-DENT PLAN
Students enrolled in the Stu-Dent Plan will be treated by experienced D.D.S. and dental hygiene students, overseen by licensed dental faculty members, at the NYU College of Dentistry, 345 East 24th Street (on the corner of First Avenue). The following dental services are covered by Stu-Dent:
Diagnostic Care
- Semiannual oral examinations
- X-rays needed to support Stu-Dent services
Restorative Treatment
- Routine amalgams (silver fillings)
- Routine composites (tooth-colored fillings)
Preventive Care
- Semiannual prophylaxes (cleanings)
- Sealants
- Oral hygiene instructions
Discounted Fees
- 10-20% off dental services not included in the plan
Because NYU is a teaching institution, some services may take longer to complete than they would in a private dental office. However, our fees are significantly lower than those charged bymost private dentists.
ELIGIBILITY
Stu-Dent membership is open to full- and part-time students of participating colleges and universities, as well as their partners and dependent children.
Memberships follow the academic calendar year and are effective September 4, 2012 through August 16, 2013, regardless of the date of enrollment. Please note that enrollment fees are nonrefundable.
