Living in NYC
NYU College of Dentistry is located in the most exciting and diverse city in the world -- a city that offers an
astonishing array of opportunities. Broadway, Central Park, the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden,
the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Yankee Stadium are just a few of the amazing options waiting to be discovered
and enjoyed.
As the quintessential "urban university," NYU strongly believes in the importance of students' connection to New
York City. We encourage students to embrace the energy of the city, to make the city your own.
As a student in New York City, you'll find that it is an education in itself to travel in, out, and around the area
and enjoy the best of urban life. Since there is so much out there, and far too much to mention here, you might want
to check-out
"The Student's City Guide". A publication of NYU's Student Resource Center,
it is a comprehensive guide for students to the City's resources and events. This online guide includes: city
information, special events, shows & entertainment, places of interest, dining information, local entertainment,
and safety tips. You'll soon see the list of things to do and see is never ending! And, by chance, should you
be on budget and begin to worry about being able to afford it all, you will definitely want to read
"The Broke Student's Guide".
Here you'll find many cheap or even free things to do in the city that never sleeps.
