Congratulations to: Dr. Michael C. Alfano, Dean of NYUCD, on his election to the Board of Trustees of The New York State Dental Foundation and to the Administrative Board of the ADEA Council of Deans, and on being awarded honorary membership in the American Academy of Oral Medicine. Dean Alfano also authored “Terrorism Preparedness for The New York State Dental Journal; spoke on “Career Options” at the University of Nebraska Dental School and on “Industry Relationships” at the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Dean’s meeting; and was interviewed by the Dallas/Fort Worth publication, Doctor of Dentistry, on the importance of oral cancer screening and treatment. He also has been appointed Chairman of the NYU Health Benefits Study Group, and he will be a featured speaker in March 2004 at the launch of a new organization of Rutgers University graduates who went on to become dentists. LeGeros, Leonard I.
