A generous five-year grant from the Alpha Omega Foundation has created
the Alpha Omega Interdisciplinary Research Fellowship at NYUCD. The grant
will fund one student per year. The recipient, who will be known as the
Alpha Omega Interdisciplinary Research Fellow, will be required to be
part of a research team and have mentors or collaborators in more than

Fellowship will help us change the research culture for students from
the old paradigm of working with a single mentor to the interdisciplinary
team research paradigm of the 21st century.
Alpha Omega is the oldest international dental organization in the world.
There are chapters and members in cities and dental schools in the United
States, Canada, South America, Europe, Israel, South Africa, Australia
and New Zealand.
