Is
there someone you know -- maybe your own dental assistant -- who you
think has the potential to become a dental hygienist? The majority
of applicants tell us that they became interested in a career in dental
hygiene based on positive experiences with their own dentist or by
having worked in a dental practice, often as a dental assistant. NYUCD
offers flexible programs in dental hygiene: a two-year Associate in
Applied Science degree in preparation for licensure, which can also
be done in three years of day courses or nine semesters of evening
courses, plus a four-year Bachelor of Science degree program, which
includes both traditional and advanced courses. In gratitude for your
help, we will be pleased to recommend your practice to our graduates
as an employment opportunity. To recommend an applicant, please call
Professor Lisa Stefanou, Director of Dental Hygiene Enrollment Services,
at 212-998-9371.
