Dr. Robert Genco, distinguished professor and chair of the Department of Oral Biology at the State University of New York at Buffalo, presented the fifth Dr. Alvin M. Sackler Distinguished Lecture in Oral Medicine, "The Role of Oral Infections in Chronic Systemic Diseases," at NYUCD on April 25, 2000.

The Dr. Alvin M. Sackler Distinguished Lectures in Oral Medicine were established by an endowment from the Raymond and Beverly Sackler Foundation in honor of Dr. Alvin Sackler, Class of 1944.
