Senator Kemp Hannon asks a pediatric patient to "open wide"

Senator Kemp Hannon, chair of the New York State Senate Health Committee, and Assemblymember Richard N. Gottfried, chair of the New York State Assembly Health Committee, have been staunch supporters of NYUCD for many years. Recently they visited our campus for the first time.

During separate visits, Dean Alfano and Associate Dean Stuart Hirsch escorted the senator and the assemblymember on tours of the College, where they mingled with students, faculty, patients, and staff. Both legislators described themselves as "very impressed." Dean Alfano spoke for everyone at NYUCD when he said that Senator Hannon's and Assemblymember Gottfried's longtime friendship and advocacy have been and continue to be pivotal in helping NYUCD to assure the provision of essential oral health services for all New Yorkers.
