For French and Taiwanese Dentists, CDE Equals NYUCD

In keeping with NYU's mission as a global university, NYUCD aims to foster global dental education programs that will strengthen both the College and the international dental community of which we are a part.

Integral to our success is the world's largest continuing dental education (CDE) program, which serves as a professional resource for international dentists. Through on-site didactic and clinical training at NYUCD and at overseas locations, the program provides global access to state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, thus enabling international dentists to expand their private practice portfolios. At the same time, the program allows NYUCD faculty to share their knowledge with practitioners around the world and to learn about oral health conditions and issues that are prevalent in other parts of the globe.

Last fall, 25 French dentists came to NYUCD for the first week of a six-week, continuing dental education program in implant dentistry and periodontics; in March, NYUCD faculty took the CDE show on the road to Paris, where they continued the program for the same group of dentists.

In December, NYUCD hosted 35 Taiwanese dentists -- the first Taiwanese group ever to participate in our CDE program. They came to study dental implants and oral rehabilitation for one week and will return for two weeks of study in June.

NYUCD looks forward to welcoming our colleagues from France and Taiwan on many return visits.
