Dr. Stuart M. Hirsch Honored with Alumni Association Achievement Award

Stuart M. Hirsch, '71, associate dean for clinical affairs and professor of restorative and prosthodontic sciences and implant dentistry, received the NYU College of Dentistry Alumni Association Achievement Award for 1998. The award is the most prestigious honor bestowed by the Alumni Association.

In presenting the award, the president of the 1998 Alumni Association, Dr. Bert M. Gaster, '50, cited Dr. Hirsch's achievements as a teacher, administrator, practitioner, and scholar. Calling him an exemplary alumnus, Dean Alfano added, "Stuart Hirsch's dedication, integrity, and ability testify to the superior dental education he received at NYU and to the professional ideals that were nurtured at his alma mater. The tribute he receives today from his fellow alumni is a wonderful expression of those ideals."

Dr. Hirsch received his award at the annual Alumni Day celebration held at the College in October.
