NYUCD Students Lobby Capitol Hill
On March 14, more than 80 students representing 26 dental schools participated in the Third Annual ADEA/ASDA Dental Student Lobby Day on Capitol Hill and met with 100 congressional officers to advocate for issues of importance to dental education and the dental profession. International Specialty Program Students Honored
Students in the one-year Specialty Training Program for International Dentists enjoyed a reception in their honor in July to mark the completion of their program requirements. Over 200 students and their families celebrated with faculty members and staff before saying farewell to the United States and to one another as they prepared to leave for home.

Dr. Larry Salman Retires
After more than 40 years of service to the College, most recently as professor and chairman of the Mecca Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and head of the Division of Surgical Sciences, Dr. Lawrence Salman has retired. Last June friends and colleagues gathered at the NYU Club to toast Larry as a newly minted professor emeritus and wish him and his wife Roz happiness and fulfillment in the years ahead.
