gets Pharos printing/copying accounts?
All NYU College of Dentistry DDS, Dental Hygiene and Post-Graduate students.
What
about non-students, Faculty and Staff?
Non-students and Staff can buy cards from the dispenser
to the left of the Circulation Desk. Faculty can pick up a Faculty printing/copying
card at the Circulation Desk.
How
much money do students get per year?
$355 or 4,400+ pages per year. This makes 8,800+ double-sided prints and copies.
What
happens when I spend the allotted $355 for the year?
Students may add funds to their accounts with using cash or a check. Please see the Circulation Desk for details. Also, anyone can buy a card
from the dispenser to the left of the Cirulation Desk.
How
do I login to my account?
Use your NetID and NYUHome password, just like checking
your email.
Where
can I print and copy with this account?
Printing is only available from the NYU Network to these locations:
1. The 3 printers on the Library floor can be printed
to from the surrounding workstations and from student laptops using desktop ports in the reading rooms.
2. The printer in the lab can be printed to using any of the computers in the lab.
3. The Library has one copier in the back of the stacks.
4. The Student Commons
facility in the basement of Kriser Dental Center has a copier and a
printer that can receive jobs from the 6 iMacs in the Student Lounge.
How
can I print to Library printers from my laptop?
Install or Update the Pharos Printing Clinet on your
machine.
What
if my NetID is not recognized by the Pharos system.
Come to the Circulation Desk and we will set
up your account.
Do
I need to register to receive an account?
No. Students have accounts generated for them upon
arrival. Just sign in and begin using the system. If your NetID is
not recognized by
the
Pharos
system, come to the Circulation Desk and we will set up your account.
Can I be refunded for printing mistakes?
We will assess your situation on a case-by-case basis. We automatically give refunds any problem where our system and/or computers are at fault.
