Research Interests / Professional Overview:

Dr. Morse has an active history of epidemiologic research focusing on diseases of the oral cavity, including dental caries as well as oral cancers and precancers. He is currently the Principal Investigator of a grant entitled "Risk Factors for Oral Epithelial Dysplasia in Puerto Rico," which is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, and a co-investigator on other NIH-sponsored studies.

Dr. Morse is also the Associate Director of the NYU Oral Epidemiology Comprehensive Training Program, which provides MPH and PhD-level training in epidemiology to individuals who hold dental degrees, and a course director in the Masters in Clinical Research Program, which provides training in clinical research to persons from diverse educational backgrounds. Additionally, Dr. Morse holds teaching appointments at Johns Hopkins and Yale Universities.

Apart from numerous research manuscripts, Dr. Morse is a contributing author for a number of textbook chapters dealing with the epidemiology of oral cancer and precancer.
