General Information and Policies

Course Location
Unless otherwise indicated, all courses are held at NYU College of Dentistry, 345 East 24th Street, (corner of First Avenue), New York City.

Course Credit
The New York University College of Dentistry Continuing Dental Education Program is designated as a nationally-approved sponsor by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing education programs of this sponsor are accepted by AGD for fellowship. Mastership and membership maintenance credit. New York University College of Dentistry is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider.

Tax Deduction
The IRS allows an income tax deduction for continuing education course expenses when course content is designed to maintain or improve skills required for an individual's business. Deduction expenses include registration fees, cost of travel, meals, and lodging. Please contact your accountant.

Refund Policy
Refunds are granted only if written notification is received seven (7) business days prior to a given course. NYU Continuing Dental Education Programs cannot be responsible for the refund of any part of the tuition as a result of emergencies, unforeseen circumstances, or events beyond its control.

NYUCD Policy
Continuing education courses do not necessarily reflect the philosophies of the postdoctoral or postdoctoral training programs. Sponsorship of a continuing education course by the NYU College of Dentistry does not imply subject matter, product, or technique endorsement. Courses may include subject matter of an experimental and/or controversial nature. This material is offered to the profession for educational and informational purposes in a spirit of academic freedom. NYU Continuing Dental Education reserves the right to cancel any course, limit enrollment, modify the announced course content, or change the location, time, date, and faculty of any course as may be deemed necessary or advisable.

Weather Emergencies
On rare occasions, inclement weather will necessitate cancellation of programs for that day only. If the University is closed, it will be announced on metropolitan area radio stations, or by calling 212.998.1220.

Clinic Patients
For courses involving clinical participation, patients are provided by New York University College of Dentistry unless specified otherwise within the course description. If participants would prefer to provide their own patients, this is generally acceptable. However, all patients accepted for treatment must be registered and will be charged a clinic fee for treatment.
