Dental Hygienist Local Anesthesia and Inhalation Analgesia Training Course

New York University College of Dentistry is pleased to offer a program on administration and monitoring of local infiltration anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia in the practice of dental hygiene.

This course, in compliance with the new law in New York, will facilitate the New York State licensed dental hygienist to apply for a restricted certificate in local infiltration anesthesia/nitrous oxide analgesia. The program will be comprised of lectures (30 hours) and hands-on clinical application (15 hours) under faculty supervision.

This course will be taught by faculty in the NYUCD Anthony S. Mecca Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at NYU College of Dentistry in New York City.

Participants will serve as patients for each other during the clinical portion of the course. If you are unwilling or unable to be a patient please do not register for this course. (Please be advised that pregnancy precludes participation in this course)
