Course Overview
"Diagnostic and Treatment Protocols in Endodontics", is an interactive course for general dentists. This program will present the practitioner with an overview of endodontic diagnostic and treatment procedures that utilize advanced instrument designs and techniques. At the completion of this course, the practitioner will be able to:
- Complete an endodontic diagnosis and treatment plan for an
endodontically involved tooth
- Prepare straight line endodontic access which will facilitate
instrumentation and obturation
- Safely irrigate the canal system with appropriate irrigants
- Instrument canals using nickel-titanium rotary instruments
- Obturate canals using either the lateral condensation or Thermafil techniques
- Understand the causes of iatrogenic problems

Tuition is $95 and a grade of 75 or higher is required on the final exam to receive
3 CDE credits. Participant progress is monitored weekly. Participants who do not receive the necessary
exam score will be contacted about re-taking the exam. Upon successful completion of the course,
the Office of Continuing Dental Education will forward appropriate documentation to the address
provided at the time of registration.
