COURSE OVERVIEW:

This five-session course will introduce the general practitioner to current endodontic concepts. The course will combine didactic, laboratory participation and clinical presentations which will enable the participant to diagnose and treat teeth in need of endodontic care. Participants will be able to recognize and treat appropriate maxillary and mandibular molars and will be exposed to some of the newest modalities of instrumentation, including rotary instrumentation. Various obturation techniques will be discussed. Concepts concerning pain prevention strategies will be reviewed. The application of ultrasonics, the microscope, and the endoscope will be reviewed. In addition to “hands-on” clinical and laboratory experiences, faculty will perform live demonstrations of surgical and clinical endodontic techniques. Participants are provided with one patient for a SERIES OF VISITS.
