Admissions/Application Requirements
As of June 8, 2009, a new Centralized Application for Advanced Placement for International Dentists (CAAPID) has been created by ADEA, for all foreign trained dentists who seeks to practice in the United States and/or Canada. The deadline to file an application and to submit all documents will be on January 4, 2010. To create an electronic application please log on to: https://portal.caapid.org/.

The following documents must be sent to CAAPID:
- A letter of reference from the Dean or faculty member of your dental school (up to 3 letters of recommendation can be received at CAAPID).
- Self-Report iBT score, minimum score required on the iBT is 90.
- Self-Report National Board Part 1 score, preferably a minimum score of 85 is required).
- An official course-by-course credential evaluation of your transcripts by Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE). Applicant/notarized copies of these reports are unacceptable.
The following documents must be sent to the program directly:
- A notarized copy of your official dental school transcript with marks stated (mark sheets).
- A notarized English translation of this transcript (if document is not in English).
- A notarized copy of your official dental school diploma.
- Submit official NDB1 score report.
- Submit official TOEFL score report.
- A notarized English translation of this diploma (if document is not in English).
- Masters/Graduate Degree transcripts. Official transcripts must be sent directly to us from the school.
- A non-refundable application fee of $100, made payable to NYU College of Dentistry.
- A 2x2 color photograph.
