NYU Games for Learning Institute
Plass discussed the potential of games as effective learning and assessment environments, and introduced the Games for Learning Institute (G4LI), a consortium of nine universities dedicated to the study of the use of games for learning. He presented design patterns that are based on results of research conducted by G4LI and that can be applied to the design of games for learning.
