Whitney Steen, Administrator

A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Whitney received her BA in English Writing from the University of Oklahoma in 2001, and moved to New York in 2002 to attend the graduate writing program at Sarah Lawrence College.  She received her MFA in Fiction in May of 2004 and joined the Center for Teaching Excellence as Administrative Aide in August of that year. In December 2007, she was promoted to CTE Administrator.

Whitney's interest in education issues comes from the numerous members of her family and friends who teach, as well as her previous work as Administrative Assistant for Sarah Lawrence's Art of Teaching Graduate Program.  She is currently at work on a number of writing projects.
