Past OutReachers Reflect

Watch a one-minute video of NYU student Laura Zablit talking about her experience in Project OutReach.

"Project Outreach provided me with my first experiences as a New Yorker through the specific lens of a service-minded perspective. The new skills and memories I gained as well as the wonderful friendships that were created allowed me to have the best start to my first year of college!"

“Project Outreach, beyond giving me better friends that I could have hoped for, has helped me think about the really tough questions within a social justice landscape. What do I owe to others, if anything? What does it mean to give back? These are the questions that deepen your understanding of the world define your first year at NYU and in New York City.”

Bourree Huang Gallatin ‘19

“Project Outreach acted as the perfect platform to begin my life at NYU: it connected me with the best community there is, made me aware of all there was to know ahead of orientation and made me discover New York through the newly given lens of social justice.”
