Basic Info

Summary List allows you to embed autopopulated lists of content based on tags, CMS paths, or RSS feeds. Customize your list further by displaying article summaries and thumbnails where available.

Tutorial

  1. Navigate to and open your page.
  2. Add the Summary List component.
  3. A new Summary List component placeholder icon will display in the space.
  4. To edit the component, click or touch the placeholder.The component toolbar will appear along the top of the spacce.
  5. Select the wrench icon to configure.
  6. An edit window will appear so you can manage the source for your Summary List and customize how the component displays content.
  7. Enter an optional title in the Title field. This is not required.
  8. Select a source for your list:
    1. Internal: CMS pages, tagged policies, or tagged news stories
    2. External: RSS feed
  9. Customize how your list is displayed:
    1. Number of Items to Show: Default is 25, if left blank all items will display
    2. Order: Alphabetical or by date (internal sources only)
    3. Format:
      1. List
      2. List with a summary
      3. List with a summary and thumbnail
  10. Click or touch the checkmark to save and close.

Add a List from an Internal Source

  1. Click the Internal tab.
  2. Select a Content Type:
    1. CMS Pages
    2. News
    3. Policy
  3. Add CMS Pages as your list source:
    1. Use the CMS Selection finder to navigate to the parent page of the items you want to include in your list
    2. Only content one level directly below the page selected will be included.
  4. Add News as your list source:
    1. In the Tag(s) field click the arrow to navigate and select the appropriate tag(s) to be included in the list
    2. Only activated tags are searchable
    3. In the Article Type field select the type of news article to be included:
      1. All
      2. Release Articles
      3. Story Articles
  5. Add Policy as your list source:
    1. In the Tag(s) field click the arrow to navigate and select the appropriate tag(s) to be included in the list
    2. Only activated tags are searchable
  6. Customize how your list is displayed.

Add a List from an External Source

  1. Click the External tab.
  2. Insert a properly formatted RSS/Atom feed in the RSS Feed field.
    1. For example: http://www.domain.com/path/feed.xml
  3. Customize how your list is displayed.
