Policy and Procedure

Workers’ compensation is insurance that provides cash benefits and/or medical care for workers who are injured or become ill as a direct result of their job.  Except for emergency cases, the health care provider who treats you must be authorized by the Workers' Compensation Board to treat injured workers.

Your health care provider's office should be able to tell you whether or not they are allowed to treat you for a work-related injury and should only treat you for medical conditions that are within their area of specialty.

Please refer to the Workers' Compensation Policy and Procedure before proceeding with any forms.
