New York University offers employees a unique opportunity to take courses through its tuition remission program. You can use tuition remission to:

  • Take courses at the School of Professional Studies. These courses are usually offered at 80%.
  • Take job related courses with the approval of your supervisor.
  • Participate in skill-building courses such as computer literacy or communication courses.

Skill-Building Courses offered via Tuition Remission

As part of the University's collective bargaining agreement with Local 3882, skill-building courses are offered to Office and Clerical and Laboratory and Technical employees at 100% tuition remission. (Employees pay 20% at the start, and get reimbursed upon successful completion of the course.) Watch for emails at the beginning of every semester announcing the latest course offerings for UCATS members.
