Finding your home at NYU

At NYU, you can experience the world without leaving your residence hall. Maggie from Syracuse, New York, and Kiki from Chengdu, China, for example, grew up on opposite ends of the earth. But over karaoke, language lessons, and countless meals, these two first-year roommates at NYU Shanghai grew into best friends, happily choosing to live together again their sophomore year. Living (and dining) on campus is the surest way to feel right at home at NYU while creating memories that will stay with you for a lifetime.

New York City

Talk about living in the heart everything. More than 11,000 NYU students live in 23 residence halls, most of which are found in famed Greenwich Village. Two halls are also in the incredibly diverse and hip community of Brooklyn Heights, near the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. In either location, you’re surrounded by an amazing wealth of cultural, entertainment, and dining options.
