Resources for Applying

Preparing Applications

At NYU, we try to make the application process as straightforward as possible. But we recognize that applying to a university with multiple schools, colleges, and campuses can be complex. We want to provide you with all the resources you need to help your students navigate through applying to NYU, so below you will find links to specific information about our application, deadlines, financial aid, and more.

We also encourage you to reach out to us directly via email at admissions@nyu.edu if you have questions.

Submitting Documents

NYU accepts submissions of original/certified copies as well as unofficial documents. A certified copy has an original signature of the registrar or other designated school official, or the institution's seal.

Transcripts and test scores must come from an official source to be processed.

Official sources only include directly from a school official employed by the school, nationally or internationally recognized testing agency, or other community organizations as permitted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Any other sources will need approval by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Documents not submitted through the Common Application can be mailed to:
New York University
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
383 Lafayette Street
New York, NY 10003
USA

Or sent via email to:
admissions.docs@nyu.edu

Students attending non-U.S. institutions are required to have their final graduation documents authenticated by our partner, Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE). Please review our Proof of Graduation Requirements for Students Attending Non-US. Institutions for instructions.

Agents & Third Parties

NYU does not support the use of agents or for-profit organizations in the Undergraduate Admissions application process. We work directly and exclusively with applicants, schools, local governments, Education USA, the Institute of International Education, and non-profit and community based organizations. An applicant hiring or enlisting anyone to complete any portion of their application is a violation and will be considered fraud. NYU regularly verifies documents and submissions to protect against fraud and plagiarism.
