Judith Regan, host of Sirius-XM Stars Channel’s “The Judith Regan Show,” will moderate the session, which will center on the neural basis of emotion in relation to the role of emotion in the creative and performance aspects of music.

Cash has recorded 13 albums since 1978 and is the author of Bodies of Water (1996, Hyperion) and Composed: A Memoir (2010, Viking), among other works. Cash has also contributed multiple articles to the New York Times on a range of music related topics. She was the recipient of the WFUV Artist of the Year award in 2012 and has received one Grammy Award. She has also recorded 11 No. 1 Billboard Singles and has an honorary doctorate from Memphis College of Art.

LeDoux, the founder of the Emotional Brain Institute and professor in NYU’s Center for Neural Science and Department of Psychology, has researched emotion and memory in the brain for more than 20 years. He is also a professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone Medical Center. LeDoux has published multiple books, including The Emotional Brain (Simon and Schuster, 1998) and Synaptic Self: How Our Brains Become Who We Are (Viking, 2002), which make available to the general public his findings on emotion and personality development in the context of neuroscience.

Regan is a former editor at Simon & Schuster and the founder and publisher of ReganBooks. She has hosted shows on the Fox News Channel and produced several TV series and miniseries including Growing Up Gotti for A&E and Ruby Ridge, a mini series for CBS.
