NYU Wagner will host the U.S. Department of State’s deputy special envoy for climate change, Dave Turk, on Thursday, September 25 at 2:30 p.m., for a talk entitled “Advancing Partnerships for International Climate Action.”

The event, free and open to the public, comes amid Climate Week NYC and right after the gathering of world leaders for the UN climate summit. Mr. Turk’s appearance at the Wagner school (Puck Building, 295 Lafayette St., corner of Houston St., 2nd Floor, New York, N.Y.) is sponsored by Office of International Programs.

Mr. Turk was most recently counselor to the special envoy, where he led U.S. engagement in the Climate and Clean Air Coalition and helped spearhead other bilateral and pluri-lateral international cooperative efforts. He provided strategic guidance on a range of climate issues.

Prior to that, Mr. Turk served as a Special Assistant to President Obama and Senior Director to the U.S. National Security Council. Mr. Turk has also served in both the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, including working for then-Senator Joe Biden and Congressman Henry Waxman.
