The New York University Creative Writing Program’s Fall 2013 Reading Series continues in October with events featuring “Selected Shorts” and Parker Posey (Oct. 3), Yusef Komunyakaa (Oct. 4), Jonathan Lethem (Oct. 11), and the Academy of American Poets Chancellors Reading (Oct. 24).

All events are held in the program’s Greenwich Village home, the Lillian Vernon Creative Writers House, located at 58 W. 10th Street (between 5th and 6th Aves.) and are free and open to the public—unless otherwise noted. Yusef Komunyakaa, Adrie Kusserow, Brian Turner, and Bruce Weigl

Pulitzer Prize–winner and NYU senior faculty member Yusef Komunyakaa’s latest work is “Testimony, A Tribute to Charlie Parker: With New and Selected Jazz Poems” (Wesleyan University Press, 2013). Adrie Kusserow’s collection “Refuge” was published this year by BOA Editions. Alice James released Brian Turner’s second book, “Phantom Noise,” in 2010. “The Abundance of Nothing” (TriQuarterly, 2012) is Bruce Weigl’s most recent publication.
