Buffalo Gals Won’t You Come Out Tonight?
Traditional Lacota storyteller Dovie Thomason tells tales of strong women from the coming of Falling Star Woman in the Time-Before-Time to the journey of the woman called Rockdweller who lived with the wolves in “historic” memory. So often Plains Indian cultures are imaged as men on horseback; yet there is an old saying that the people will survive until the hearts of the women are on the ground. Thomason recounts old tales of strong-hearted women by a master Native American teller.  Appropriate for adults and children 10 and older.
