The John Brademas Center for the Study of Congress event begins at 5 p.m. in NYU’s Abramson Family Auditorium, 1307 L. Street NW, Washington, DC. A reception will follow.
This event is free and open to the public. RSVP is required at: http://www.nyu.edu/brademas/programs.events/.

Lewis is Julius Silver University Professor and professor of history at New York University. Each volume of his two-volume W. E. B. Du Bois biography won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography. He is the author of eight books and editor of two more.

His biography of King provides a meticulous measure of the man, his mission, and his enormous influence on America, the world, and now a new generation. The just-published new edition includes a new preface and more than a dozen photographs of King and his contemporaries.
