ITP’s Winter Show 2012 Will Feature Student’s Recent Works

Exhibition of Interactive Sight, Sound, & Technology on View Dec. 16 & 17

The Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), a pioneering graduate center for the design and study of alternative media forms and applications in the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, has announced its 2012 winter exhibition of recent works by graduate student artists and innovators will take place on Sunday and Monday, December 16 and 17.  One hundred projects will be featured representing work from 20 classes, including examples of interactive installations, physical and virtual interaction design, projects in sustainability issues, assistive technologies, sound and video works, and screen-based models.

Entitled ITP 2012 Winter Show, the two-day event of sight, sound, and technology by student artists and innovators will be on view December 16 and 17 at the Tisch School of the Arts, located at 721 Broadway (at Waverly Place), 4th floor (south elevators), from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday and from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday.  The exhibition is free and open to the public.  (A photo I.D. is required to enter the building.)  For more information, call 212.998.1880; email itp.inquiries@nyu.edu; or visit http://itp.nyu.edu/show.

ITP is a two-year graduate program located in the Tisch School of the Arts whose mission is to explore the imaginative use of communications technologies — how they might augment, improve, and bring delight and art into people's lives. Perhaps the best way to describe us is as a Center for the Recently Possible.
