The direction of American foreign policy for the next four years will be debated by a high-level panel of experts on presidential policy and world affairs during “The U.S. Election in a Global Context: 2012 and its Potential Outcomes,” a special event hosted by the Center for Global Affairs of the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies (NYU-SCPS) on Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Moderated by NYU University Professor and nationally renowned legal scholar Arthur R. Miller, the panel will explore economic and energy policy, security issues, as well as key partners and competitors on the world stage, and how they will ultimately be affected by the outcome of this critical election.

“Public events such as these further the mission of the Center for Global Affairs, which is to educate global citizens,” said Divisional Dean Vera Jelinek, who is an expert in global affairs education and careers. “It is vital to understand the worldwide implications of a presidential election, and this panel will raise awareness of many of these implications.”

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and will take place at the NYU Law School Tishman Auditorium located at 40 Washington Square South. Admission is free, and pre-registration is required.
