NYU will host “Integrating the Ultra-Orthodox into Israeli Society: Education, Army, and Workforce,” on Thursday, October 4, 6 p.m. at NYU Open House. Barriers between the Ultra-Orthodox and the rest of Israeli society are increasingly being challenged in Israel. This panel will examine current trends and possible future directions in managing one of the most debated problems facing Israel today.

New York University will host “Integrating the Ultra-Orthodox into Israeli Society: Education, Army, and Workforce,” on Thursday, October 4, 6 p.m. at NYU Open House (528 LaGuardia Place [betw. Washington Square South and West 3rd Street]).

The panel discussion, sponsored by NYU’s Taub Center for Israel Studies, will feature: Israeli attorney David Shimron; Dorit Morag, legal counsel to Israel’s Ministry of Education; and Kobi Tav, director of Israel Programs at the Joint Distribution Committee. The session will be moderated by Professor Ronald Zweig, director of the Taub Center for Israel Studies.
