Public Culture, founded in the 1980s as an interdisciplinary social sciences journal, has been re-launched by NYU’s Institute for Public Knowledge (IPK).

Public Culture, founded in the 1980s as an interdisciplinary social sciences journal, has been re-launched by NYU’s Institute for Public Knowledge (IPK).

The journal, led by NYU Sociology Professor Eric Klinenberg, will focus on contemporary issues, such climate change, military interventions, the power of markets, and links between social media and social movements. It will also include interviews with prominent intellectuals. The publication was previously produced by Columbia University.
