La Maison Française of NYU Will Honor Maurice Lévy, Chairman & CEO of Publicis Group , at May 10 Gala Benefit

La Maison Française of New York University, a major forum for French-American intellectual and cultural exchange, will hold a Gala Benefit on Thursday, May 10, where it will honor Maurice Lévy, chairman and chief executive officer of Publicis Groupe, one of the world’s leading advertising organizations and a pioneer in digital and online communications. Lévy will receive the Medal of Honor of the Center for French Civilization and Culture of New York University.

This evening of dinner and presentations will begin with a 6:30 p.m. champagne reception and will include a featured talk by Elaine Sciolino, author of La Seduction: How the French Play the Game of Life.

The Gala Benefit takes place at the penthouse of NYU’s Kimmel Center for University Life at 60 Washington Square South, New York, N.Y, and raises funds for La Maison Française’s program of lectures, conferences, symposia, art exhibits, films, concerts, theater, and special events.

Co-chairs for the Gala Benefit are Martin and Susan Lipton, Yves-André Istel and Kathleen Begala, Michel and Marie-Eve Berty, and Michel Longchampt, and Odile de Schietere-Longchampt.

Honorary patrons of the event include H.E. Ambassador François Delattre; H.E. Ambassador Gérard Araud, French Consul General Philippe Lalliot; Cultural Counselor of the French Embassy Antonin Baudry, and NYU President John Sexton.

Tickets are $750 ($600 tax deductible) or $1,000 ($850 tax deductible). Seating is limited. Advertisements and tributes for the program journal are being accepted through April 30th.
