SCPS Writing Workshop: Lori Fischer on “Five Traits Every Great Character Has in Common”

The Department of Humanities, Arts, and Writing at NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies invites all new and experienced writers to this free writing class which will include writing exercises and time for discussion.

December’s session--“Five Traits Every Great Character Has in Common”--will be led by Lori Fischer, who wrote the critically acclaimed musical “Barbara’s Blue Kitchen.” Her short film “Dottie’s Thanksgiving Pickle,” starring Olympia Dukakis, was recently featured in the Hollywood Shorts Festival, and her feature film, “The Down Home Taster,” will be released in 2012.  Fischer teaches “Writing Great Characters” at NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS).
