Are e-books taking over the literary landscape? Is it still possible to make a living selling, writing or reviewing books? Can a novice break into the field? Is it easier to publish a memoir, biography, novel or young adult book these days? Do I have to write the whole manuscript or a proposal? How do I meet the right editors and agents who’ll give me a chance? This panel of expert Manhattan authors, critics, editors and agents, moderated by writing professor and Overexposed author Susan Shapiro, will spill all their secrets.
Other panelists include: New York Times Book Review editor Sam Tanenhaus; agents Betsy Lerner and Julie Just; O Magazine book editor Sara Nelson; Brooklyn Rail book editor John Reed; author David Goodwillie, and Scribner’s editor Paul Whitlach.
