The New York University Creative Writing Program’s Spring 2011 Reading Series continues in April with events featuring Jonathan Safran Foer (April 8) as well as Gay Talese and Lorrie Moore (April 15). All events are held in the program’s Greenwich Village home, the Lillian Vernon Creative Writers House at 58 W. 10th Street, unless otherwise noted. Nikola Madzirov, one of Macedonia’s most distinguished poets, reads from Remnants of Another Age (BOA Editions, 2011). Valzyhyna Mort’s new book of poetry, Collected Body, is due from Copper Canyon in 2011.

Anthony Carelli’s first book of poems, Carnations, is due from Princeton University Press in May 2011. Kathleen Graber’s second book of poems, The Eternal City (Princeton University Press, 2010), was nominated for a 2010 National Book Award. The event is co-sponsored by Princeton University Press.

The Starlight Children's Foundation’s Starworks literary outreach program brightens the lives of hospitalized children by teaching creative expression in the literary arts.
