34 Stuyvesant Street - Barney Building

In order to mitigate problems associated with the existing vaults, a sidewalk replacement and vault repair project at the Barney Building will include the demolition of the sidewalk and vaults on Stuyvesant and 9th Street and the subsequent construction of new vaults and sidewalk.

The project is scheduled to take part in three phases as follows:

  • The first phase of the project will include mobilization and demolition of the sidewalk and vault on Stuyvesant Street.
  • Phase two will include the reconstruction of the vault and sidewalk on Stuyvesant Street.
  • Phase three, which is scheduled to take place in the Summer of 2010, will focus on the sidewalk and vault on 9th Street.

The project is scheduled to begin in October 2009 and be completed by the end of August 2010.
