Project Overview

7 East 12th Street will become the new headquarters/main building for SCPS. The first three floors are being converted into classroom space and other floors are being renovated to accommodate faculty and administrative offices. The building entrance on 12th street will also be moved to the western end of the building. In addition, a new façade will be installed and upgrades will make the building more sustainable.

Main Phases

The project has four main phases

  • Phase one is for "soft demolition" and the removal of materials from inside 7 East 12th Street. Debris materials will be staged inside the building and hauled away as necessary. Asbestos abatement will also take place during this phase in accordance with environmental procedures standards.
  • Phase two is the infrastructure build-out which includes the installation of new mechanicals and the façade replacement.
  • Phase three is the interior fit-out.
  • Phase four involves installing furniture, obtaining necessary permits, and completing a punch list to allow for resumed use and occupancy of the building.
