It was an exciting day for students, an emotional day for parents, and a festive day for NYU staff: August 25, 2013, NYU welcomed a new class of students to their first year of college.
Families came from as close as Grand Street and as far as Guangzhou. Linking them all were shared feelings of pride, hope, and joy - and the bittersweet feeling that comes with such a big transition.
As always, we wish to thank our neighbors around the Village for being so gracious in helping us welcome the newest crop of students to town. This year, as in years past, we were happy to offer a parking refund for neighbors who were disadvantaged by the deluge during the momentous day. If you find yourself inconvenienced next year, be sure to take up the offer from NYU’s Office of Government and Community Affairs.
