For the New York University Core Project

January 31, 2012

Dear Elected Officials,

I would like to reiterate the testimony I provided during the public hearing on January 19, 2012 regarding NYU 2031: NYU in NYC planning.

"I have been at the University since 1998, and have been very proud of the academic strides that the University has made. But at the end of the day the things that are vital to allowing those strides are the faculty, students, and staff, and having the space to ensure that the core mission of the University – teaching and research – can be achieved. I support the University's plan to grow, to grow on its own footprint, and to grow in a way that improves an area that is otherwise isolated from the rest of the city. This project would seem an improvement."

Thank you for your time and your ongoing commitment to supporting important education and research.
