NYU and Community Board 2 invite you to join the 23rd Annual Children's Halloween Parade, the city's largest free children's event on Halloween Day!
Parents and children (aged 3-12) should gather by the Washington Square Arch by 3:00pm for the start of the parade. The parade will process around the square with circus performers, a brass band, and more. After the parade, free trick-or-treat bags, games, and rides await the children on LaGuardia Place at Washington Square South. The event is from 3:00-6:00 pm.
We would love your help preparing for the parade, handing out trick-or-treat bags, helping families navigate the area, face painting, and more. Volunteers are needed on Thursday October 24 and Friday October 25 to stuff trick-or-treat bags for the children, and on Thursday October 31 either before or during the event.
