In 1982, members of the faculty, administrative and clerical staff of New York University founded the NYU Community Fund as a way to assist organizations serving the communities surrounding NYU campuses. Since then, the NYU Community Fund has raised and distributed over $2,300,000 for hundreds of nonprofit organizations involved in the arts, children and youth, education, elderly and the homeless.
By making a pledge or one-time gift to the NYU Community Fund or United Way of NYC, you can ensure that this vital community resource continues to help support the work of hundreds of nonprofit organizations in lower Manhattan and throughout the five boroughs.
