Wagner Policy Alliance
The Wagner Policy Alliance (WPA) seeks to foster critical thinking, dialogue and debate around policy issues. WPA links individuals and groups within Wagner, NYU and beyond. By bringing issues, ideas and voices together and facilitating meaningful discussion, WPA builds a broad, vibrant policy community.
Background and Goals The WPA also seeks to participate actively in a dialogue regarding the
policy curriculum at Wagner. As this was one of the reasons founding members
came together, creating a space for student input in discussions of Wagneršs
policy curriculum is an important part of our work.
We invite all new and continuing students to attend our events and general
meetings. We are always looking for new ideas and welcome all suggestions
and input. Please join us for a great year and we look forward to meeting
you!
The WPA was formed in the fall of 2004 by both first-year and continuing
students. The WPA held many successful events throughout its first year on
issues including community organizing, civil society, drug policy reform,
and homelessness. This upcoming year will include even more events that
foster critical thinking and dialogue, including a "Wagner Wonk" book club
series where students can discuss a variety of policy issues.
