How to get involved

Want to learn more about where you can help out? The following are links to the various volunteer programs offered by Words Beyond Borders. To get involved, just contact the Committee Board Member in charge of the program in which you are interested. We also offer various other volunteer opportunities throughout the year, particularly one-day events. To hear about these, you can join our listserv by e-mailing your name, e-mail address, and language to words.beyond.borders.club@nyu.edu. Don't forget to check back periodically, as we are always establishing more volunteer affiliations throughout New York City!

Those interested in volunteering at hospitals must have medical clearance. This includes the following:

a physical examination within the last 12 months
PPD test for tuberculosis
tetanus shot
varicella/chicken pox shot
measles/mumps/rubella shot(s)
